Animals Matter

Most children, the world over, have a strong affinity with animals, especially dogs and cats. They form an intrinsic part of childrens lives and are naturally adopted by them. With its special focus on children, AAP s youth programme "Animals Matter" leverages the natural attraction between children and animals to improve the lives of both groups. AAP partners with schools and colleges with an aim to sensitise children, youth, teachers, principals and school management bodies towards compassion and meaningful action for animals. It involves concerned children and youth for providing protection and care to dogs, cats and other animals in their surroundings and provides an opportunity to promote the values and nature of animal life to the larger society. 

AAP launches this programme - Animals Matter - at school to involve students in projects to bring justice to the lives of animals and to help create a better world for people and animals together. AAP will provide Awareness Communication and Campaign materials, and Programme coordination. The School will provide the venue, Presentation equipment e.g. LCD, Projector, White / Black boards, and Conveyance for field visits. 

Programme Profile

AAP is innately dependant on volunteers to fulfill its purpose of justice for animals. A major chunk of its work depends on the diverse contributions of animal lovers. Youth volunteers are invited to be proactively involved in a range of activities for changing the situation:
